Essential workers within Denver Public Schools deserve equal treatment in pay and expect the DPS bargaining team to honor the commitments made recently by the board of education. Unfortunately, that's not what we're seeing. Tonight, the district told essential workers that they can't afford to give workers a step increase and a COLA. Instead, they are being pushed into take an increase that would amount to 40 cents for some workers. Our essential workers keep buildings running and students safe, happy, and nurtured at school. Let's tell the DPS board to value their essential workers with a living wage!
Please complete the form this week to support our DPS members in bargaining. Bargaining will resume on Monday, July 13, 2020.
